Thank you so much.</p>
<p>Yes we have been thinking about doing this for some time. I want
this myself and was coincidentally thinking about it in the last
day or so.</p>
<p>We were simply going to use Jott and it's a blow to hear they
have closed. I'll look into that or a similar service (ie whereby
your message is converted to an email which gets sent into a
dooster list ie a bucket. From there you'd log into dooster and
move / assign / prioritise etc the task as you like - does that
sound right for you? Have I missed anything?</p>
<p>Best wishes</p>

many functions Jott did not and vice versa though.</p>
<p>As far as the exact process for adding by voice I don't' know if
it is transcribed into an actual email or not. I think it's just a
service that transcribes the voicemail but regardless of the method
used to transfer the information, the rest is accurate in that it
is somehow moved into their web based interface program into a
general bucket you can sort from later and add tags, priorities,
categories, reminders etc. (You can also actually do that form the
voicemail in how you say it.</p>
<p>Like for example I can say remind me to feed the dog every night
at 830 pm and it will set a re-ocurring reminder RO you can say
Schedule" date night with my wife every Friday at 6 pm and it is
integrated to put the re-occurring appointment straight onto your
calendar (in my case I use google) Or you can just add it as a
"note" which is the equivalent of a task or to-do. you can allso
"share an item" and it will email them the task or reminder , note
etc</p>
<p>(these are a fey of the key features i use regularily in reQall.
The last feature is I can call the number and it says, Would you
like to add, share, or reQall. If i say reQall, it gives me options
and will basically read back my various to do lists. I can say
today or tomorrow, or upcoming week or "all items" etc</p></div>James Barnestag:dooster.tenderapp.com,2011-05-09:Comment/222806352012-12-07T16:40:10Z2012-12-07T16:40:10ZAdd tasks by Voice?<div><p>Thank you James</p>
<p>I looked at ReQall in some detail and it looks like a great app.
But what's interesting to me is that while they seem to view the
"phoning in stuff" as something of a sideline, this is your main
use for it ie you say >> I primarily use it as my "capturing
tool"</p>
<p>There are a few services available where you can turn voice into
email. Using these you could easily set up one or more "buckets" in
Dooster... as I said >>From there you'd log into dooster and
move / assign / prioritise etc the task as you like - does that
sound right for you?</p>
<p>here's one example <a href=
"http://www.voiceonthego.com/video/index_en2.php">http://www.voiceonthego.com/video/index_en2.php</a></p>
<p>it's a somewhat overdone video demo . But it shows how it could
work (you have to wait a bit to see the voice to email part)</p>
<p>what do you think?</p>
<p>We would give Dooster users a detailed but easy guide on how to
set this up ...</p>
<p>Best wishes</p>
<p>Ed</p></div>edtag:dooster.tenderapp.com,2011-05-09:Comment/222806352012-12-07T17:31:38Z2012-12-07T17:31:38ZAdd tasks by Voice?<div><p>Hi Ed</p>
<p>I viewed the video. Yes this could potentially work as a
solution.</p>
<p>It got me to thinking, however, and i realized i basically
already have this capability(the capturing capability part at
least). I can use the siri assistant on my iphone to send an
email.</p>
<p>(To tie it to dooster I simply added the task list specific
email address dooster assigned me as a "contact" in my google
contacts. I tested it and it worked just fine. So, just as a
"capturing tool" alone, it would/could work and you could show
customers via video or what not how to do so.</p>
<p>Siri would not, however, be comparable to the "voice on the
go"service you linked for me to view as it has the ability to read
back emails and texts etc (which siri does not do (i tried).</p>
<p>reQall has some of those basic types of functions (to read back
you reQall listsof tasks) but does not read your emails) To be able
to read back my email, my to do lists, AND to be able to capture a
new action item, schedule an appointment on my calendar OR create a
reminder etc ALL through DOOSTER would be AMAZING and definitely is
preferable to having to use a separate service or even siri)</p>
<p>I see your point in that it seems like a minor function to
requall and seems like a bigger one for me. I'm not sure if you saw
there video for (reQall Rover) that's in beta? It would appear it's
not a "minor" function as they are rolling out a whole new product
voice assistant piece that's extremely intuitive scanning your
calendar for appointments, your email for actionable items etc.</p>
<p>I guess my main point is there a a lot of awesome and amazing
services, technology etc out there for productivity and project
management and many of them can work, but having to go all over the
place to find/use them wastes as much time as it saves.</p>
<p>As i mentioned in the original email, for me, the 3 primary
issues are:</p>
<p>Needing One interface/service that "does it all" and not having
to switch from interface to interface or app to app to meet my
needs</p>
<p>Mobility/being "On the go": Capturing to-do's, setting reminders
or calendar appointments, and being able to review my to-do's and
calendar while driving between appointments or away from my desk is
HUGE and a key feature for me that drew me to reQall originally (It
just lacks the team aspects of project management, file sharing,
and many of the other functions dooster currently has). I'm fairly
mobile at least 2-3 days per week which makes my iphone my primary
tool.</p>
<p>I need it to be fast and easy to capture ideas. I don't' want to
have to click 3-5+ times (on an app on my phone OR web based
version) to get save an idea that pops into my mind.</p>
<p>David allen has trained me well to get it off my mind
immediately to keep my mind empty as much as possible so the
"capturing tool aspect" is huge for me.</p>
<p>I generally have a flood of ideas early in the morning and again
in the late afternoon (both times when I'm not sitting at my desk,
of course) i need to get the ideas out of my mind and "captured" as
quickly as possible before I A) forget 2/5 ideas OR b) begin to
have anxiety related issues from feeling overwhelmed. (I struggle
with anxiety and Adhd :)</p>
<p>Hope that helps bring some clarity to what I would love to see
in the dooster app.</p>
<p><strong>You are doing some FANTASTIC work! Your program is
already head and shoulders above the rest.</strong></p>
<p>(Like is said originally, I've been researching these for years
(and more recently the past 3 weeks to choose a new service because
trying to use basecamp and reQall isn't cutting it!</p>
<p>I greatly appreicate the integration of a gant chart, the
ability to color code projects, the ability to email tasks, the
dmail (still looking into but seems very helpful) etc. The
comparison chart, ability to personalize with color and logo (i
could go on and on) are all great features, so once again GREAT JOB
and thanks for listening.</p>

word of warning. I wanted to experiment and tried voiceonthego. Its
not easy to sign up. Not sure why. But I'm still trying to get
access after paying several hours ago</p></div>Jefftag:dooster.tenderapp.com,2011-05-09:Comment/222806352012-12-11T20:20:51Z2012-12-11T20:20:52ZAdd tasks by Voice?<div><p>Neat idea. Would definitely use this. Are there any options to
the voice on the go one?</p></div>Jasontag:dooster.tenderapp.com,2011-05-09:Comment/222806352013-01-18T18:03:24Z2013-01-18T18:03:24ZAdd tasks by Voice?<div><p>Hi James</p>
<p>Further your bringing up the "phone to tasks" idea we just
completed a quick video showing how you can <a href=
"https://dooster.tenderapp.com/kb/tasks-advanced/create-tasks-from-your-phone">
create tasks by phone</a> using voice to text services - in this
case Voice on The Go</p>
<p>It doesn't tell you much more than you already know but it will
hopefully be helpful for others</p>
<p>Best wishes</p>
