Could you answer a few questions about Dooster for me?

  • Is there a way to add multiple projects and actions at once? (my previous favourite system, MonkeyGSD had a fantastic 'quick' add that was incredible for someone like me. It would process a correctly formatted entry into as many projects and actions as you could throw at it).

  • Can priority and importance be assigned to both projects and actions within them?

  • Can we add as many levels of priority and/or importance as we like, or limited to 3 of each? This was the main problem with MonkeyGSD. I ended up wit over 500 projects with no easy facility to prioritise and segment them, so a weekly review became impossible.

  • Can the system be split up into 'realms' or 'areas' so that you can just show actions and projects within a certain field depending on which work you are wanting to do (for me these would be sections like Home, Family, Magic rehearsal, Magic business, Animation etc)

  • Can an action have multiple contexts (eg @net, @iphone and @computer .. or can you only select 1?)

  • Can data be exported at any time?

  • Is it possible to change priority/lables/tags of multiple projects and actions at the same time? (doing them one by one is unmanageable once I've got lots of projects and actions)

A free and unlimited offer certainly sounds interesting, but I also need to find the right system for me and my wife to use. I'd be interested to hear your comments on a few of my questions and also how I can benefit you enough to let me have the product for free.

    I think the "Create project using another project as a template
    feature" sounds like what you need?

    ie you create one project and then make as many copies as you want of
    it - see Project manager Templates

    yes ie for projects you can set a priority and status (in "My
    Projects" screen - along with budgets ./ notes etc

    and each task has a priority

    (But at the mo. you cant say "I want all 500 tasks within project X to be Top priority at the touch of this button"

    Is that what you meant? I guess we could do that but not sure it's that necessary because it seems to obviate the point of giving
    different status to different tasks ...)

    tasks are limited to 3 of each. Projects go up to 10 You can write any
    status words you want in project status

    Yes/ You can use the filters in dashboard to do this ie decide which
    projects are displayed

    Yes but we call them Tags ;-)

    • Can data be exported at any time?

    Yes there is a daily excel file auto download - sent to any email you
    select. Plus an immediate download at any time

      once I've got lots of projects and actions)

    Not sure what you mean. Certainly using the "quick change" pop ups in
    the dashboards you can change due dates etc without having to open the
    tasks

    rehearsal, Magic business, Animation

    you mean what we would call projects?
