Hi,

I have several projects that have tasks under them.
Projects are as follows:
1) 164 William Jones Drive, Otangarei, Whangarei
2) 21 Cartwright Rd, Onerahi, Whangarei

How do I search for projects with the word "Otangarei" in them?

    Hi Jeremy

    Thank you for your question

Sorry our search doesn't cover project names. Not sure why. (It's never come up before - eg we just look down the Left side navigation panel)

But it's a good idea and I'll discuss adding this with the team and let you know if / when we can do it

    Thanks John

    Hi Jeremy

OK we discussed it and "Option A" - to add project names to the search results - is very complex behind the scenes so we won't be doing that soon.

Option B: we could show tasks that belong to a project that matches the search term... but this might heavily dilute the search results eg you search for projects with the word "Otangarei" in them. You'll see every task in the Otangarei project.

You could then click on the project name in the result to open that project

You could use the search filter to block any unwanted project from the results eg if you had Otangarei mentioned in 100 tasks in a different project.

    Would that help you?

PM me personally if you want to discuss paying extra for us to Option A - we'd need to put a coder onto it specially and there's not much demand for it so we'd charge you about $50 (Option B wouldn't take us long so would be free)

    Thanks John
