Frank when I first started using it I also found some parts a
bit slow. But this is because it is so powerful and I assume there
is a lot of processing that goes on behind the scenes. Even so it
is quicker than the downloaded tool we used to use. And the
occassional wait is worth it (my maximum waits are 4 or 5 seconds.
Most actions are 2 seconds which for me is fine
Thx for the positive feedback.
I assume Dooster is powerful, however (I am a programmer myself) I
find that SaaS applications should be able to run smoothly, which
is possible by SQL and/or hardware optimization.
Let's wait for John's reply and see what 2012 will bring :-)
Hello John,
no problem that you replied just today, it's quick enough :-)
Dooster seems to do a lot of action in the background because the
circle (hourglass) it displays when it's doing database actions
takes so much time that browsing around through the functionality
is (too) slow (takes seconds to get some simple data)
I have a 3G internet, which is rather fast, no performance issues
with other sites. I personally think it is the database queries.
So I think that my issue is a known one ?
any help is appreciated.
thanx for your explanation, it is appreciated.
Despite I'm still testing and not a customer yet I appreciate your
efforts; other users will be positively affected as well.
FYI: performance issues also will occur when you host your website
and applications in the USA. Therefore I have moved all my websites
to a EU hoster, performance has increased a lot.

Hmm well nothing changed at our end
We have had some changes which will improve speed that have been
waiting to go live for a couple of weeks - they're being tested
carefully. But nothing we've done thats gone live today..
Maybe it was Santa Claus ;-))
Seriosuly though: this might explain the difference in our viewpoints
yesterday. ie you saying it was noticeably slow wheras we were saying
... hmmm yeh... some parts are slower than ideal... but generally we
think its OK.
I just discover Dooster today and signed up for a free trial. I
REALLY like the system and performance is SLOW! It takes several
seconds to load a page where as other task management systems I've
tried today are much more responsive.
I truly like the approach, style and features of Dooster.... and
the slow response could be a real issue. I'm wanting to improve my
efficiencies and I'm afraid to lose time waiting for pages to
I see you hired someone in December to look at the issues... can
you give me an ETA on improvements? Is the performance worse b/c I
am in the US?
