FIXED - Changing task status does not change the Complete flag

From a tasklist, if I select a task via the checkbox then select action "Change Status" and set the status to Complete, the task does not move to the Completed tasks section and its name is not crossed out. Selecting "Complete" action does move it to the Completed section, but does not change the status. Similarly, if I enable custom task status and set the task status to Complete, it applies the status text changes, but the behaviour doesn't. Clearly, the link between the status value and the completion flag is not implemented.

    Thank you for your report Marko. Please accept our apologies for the problem

    Can I first check that you have made sure that "complete" status is the one that is set to actually be the completed status?

    Please see

    Thank you

    Hello John,

    Yes, I did check that. I tried it three ways: in a project where custom
    task statuses had never been activated, in a project where they had been
    activated and then deactivated, and in a project where they were active
    (and status Complete was flag Complete, verified). No difference in
    behaviour.

    And no need to apologise, I'm glad to help.

    Regards, Marko

    OK thanks

    We will investigate it

    can you confirm that its happening in different projects?

    also what is your account name?

    Thanks again

    Ok, I ran another test, as follows:

      * Created a new project
      * Created a new task in the default task list, only gave it a name
      * Selected the task
      * Selected action Change Status and set status to Complete -> status
        is Complete, but task is still among the uncompleted
      * Selected action Complete -> status is Complete, task is moved to
        completed
      * Displayed the completed section, selected task, selected action
        Change Status, changed status to In Progress -> status In Progress,
        task remains among completed
      * Selected action Uncomplete -> task moves to uncompleted.
      * Activated custom status
      * Added a status Finished and marked it as Complete -> there are now
        two statuses with Complete flag
      * Created a new minimal task
      * Used the combobox in the tasklist to change the task status to
        Finished -> task moves to completed section
      * Marked the task and selected Uncomplete -> task moves to
        uncompleted, status changes to New
      * Deactivated custom status on the project
      * -> behaviour reverts to the previous situation, i.e. complete flag
        and status are decoupled.

    The custom status functionality was implemented later, wasn't it? Is it
    possible that some old code is still lurking around, messing things up?

    Hope this helps.
